Nine brothers attended this summer's Pike Academy in Memphis, Tennessee from July 30th to August 1st. The brothers brought home with them a wealth of knowledge that will be put to great use for the chapter in the upcoming year. Epsilon Chapter received several awards at this year's conference, including: Scholarship Award, International House Workday Award, 100 Man Chapter Award, The Raymond L. Orian's Chapter Excellence Award, and the chapter's 9th consecutive Robert Adger Smythe Award. The Smythe Award is the top honor a chapter can receive and is given to only 20 of the 221 chapters nationwide. We congratulate everyone who made this year so successful for our chapter.
Although it is now summer, the success from last semester's Anchorsplash routine has only grown over time. Earlier this summer the Fraternity was contacted by ESPN about performing our routine at the official ESPYs afterparty. 16 of our brothers were flown out to Los Angelos, California in July to rehearse and perform variations of their routine at Club Nokia in downtown LA. They performed with recording artist "Tippy" as well as put on a new routine in tribute to the late Michael Jackson. Certainly nobody ever imagined that our philanthropic routine would ascend to this kind of magnitude, but we are all very proud of the accomplishment. We hope to continue our success in coming semesters. A video of the original routine can be found HERE.
